Fall Wow Factor Tryouts

Tryouts will be held at UBA indoor facility.

What to Expect:

We are expanding our tryout process and focusing on the development of all the players.  The first round of tryouts will be held indoors so we can get all of the measureables that are typical at every tryout.  We have all of the state of the art equipment to make sure every kid is getting a "true" and accurate number.  Rapsodo, hittrax and laser timed 30yd dash.  Each player will put down a primary and secondary position that will determine which group they are trying out with. We will make cuts based on numbers and evaluations of multiple coaches.  

Something new this year we will be advancing up to 60 players at each age group to the second round of tryouts.  This is not a goal for us to reach. It just means we won’t take more than 60 regardless of numbers.

Second Round of Tryouts/Development & Evaluation Phase ($195)
July 15th-August 2nd

We will have workouts 3 days a week during this timeframe, followed by scrimmages on weekends.  One weekday workout will be pitching/catching, one hitting, and one defense & base running. We will work on these different skills throughout the week and then break players into teams for the scrimmages on the weekends.  This will give every player multiple reps and allow coaches to truly evaluate their talents.  We will then select 2 teams at each age group (National and Regional) and each team will have up to 15 players.  

We are looking for the best players in the area at each age group possible to represent in the best way possible. We will not be making as many teams as possible based on tryout numbers. This is a true tryout and evaluation process to get the players in the best position possible to get quality fall reps against great competition, development and exposure.

3rd Team Option
After we fill the National and Regional teams at each age, we plan to still put together a more local fall travel team with three area tournaments in Des Moines and/or Kansas City. This team will be more in the $400 to $500 price range including tournaments, practices, coaching and facility access and will not be labeled a Wow Factor team.
